My name is Katie and this is my blog.
It has not always been my blog, but it was time for a clean start and so now, it is. I am a thirty-something mother of 2 boys, Elijah (age 3) and William (age 1), and I am married to a wonderful man, who also happens to be a physician. We live in Southern California with our cat (Jacques Imo) and our Apple TVs. I currently work part time as a physical therapist, specializing in pediatrics, and in my free time, I perform car seat checks and consultations as a child passenger safety technician (CPST). I do some freelance writing in addition to writing here and the rest of the time I pick up the toys that my boys have scattered throughout our home and try to sleep a few hours each night.
The name of this blog is a quote from the book Little Boy by Alison McGhee. “Little boy, you remind me how, so much depends on days made of now.” In addition to being a beautiful idea, the quote reflects why this blog exists. When I started writing 7 years ago, I was not the person I am now. I want this site to reflect my life now, the lessons I’ve learned and brought with me, and the person I am and want to be.
I live in days of now and it is a thing of beauty.
